The district was formed in 1966 by the reorganization of the former Clyde and Savannah school districts. The Clyde-Savannah Central School district is located midway between Rochester and Syracuse and includes portions of southeastern Wayne County and northwestern Seneca County. The district, with a total population of approximately 5,800, provides education for children in grades Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12, and covers 96 square miles. The three schools in the district are Clyde Elementary School (Pre-K through grade 4); Savannah Elementary School (grades 5 and 6); and the Jr. Sr. High School (grades 7-12).
