About Superintendent Michael Hayden

  • Michael Hayden is currently the Superintendent of Schools in the Clyde-Savannah Central School District. He earned his CAS in Educational Administration from SUNY Brockport in 2007. Mr. Hayden began his administrative leadership work as the Junior High Assistant Principal in Auburn and Middle School Principal at Trumansburg before arriving at Clyde-Savannah in 2012 as Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and became Superintendent of Schools in 2014. 

     

    Recognized at an early age for his exceptional aptitude at percussion, Mr. Hayden performed throughout the Southwestern United States as well as Central and Latin America with the acclaimed Long Island Youth Orchestra. He is a graduate of the Crane School of Music, where he earned a Bachelor and Master of Music in Music Education. Mr. Hayden taught instrumental and general music in the Westhampton Beach School District before relocating to the Finger-Lakes and sharing his musical gifts in the Sodus Central School District.
