Rochester Area College Fair helps juniors, seniors prepare for the future
Clyde-Savannah High School recently hosted the Rochester Area College Fair, where students got the chance to speak to local college representatives. The fair was held on September 26 in the Clyde-Savannah High School Library and was open to all juniors and seniors.
Students could visit a college's table to ask questions about the campus and program offerings, and representatives gave an overview of what the college offered. Representatives also provided prospective students with various informational materials, such as flyers, fast facts, and contact sheets.
Colleges attending were: Alfred State College, Monroe Community College, Keuka College, Houghton College, Genesee Community College, SUNY Geneseo, SUNY Brockport, University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, St. John Fisher College, Finger Lakes Community College, Roberts Weselyan College, Alfred University, and Nazareth College.
"This was a great opportunity for our students to learn more about their options after they graduate," said Dr. Craig Pawlak, Clyde-Savannah High School Principal. "Thank you to all of the colleges who attended and showed our students some of the great things they have to look forward to."
"Choosing a college is a big decision, so it's important that students look at as many as possible," said Laura Bliss, Clyde-Savannah High School Guidance Counselor. "The Rochester Area College Fair is the perfect place for students to interact with different colleges and find out which ones appeal to them."
Students noted that they were excited to continue exploring colleges in the months to come.
