Congratulations to our 2022 Valedictorian & Salutatorian

Clyde-Savannah CSD is excited to announce our class of 2022 valedictorian and salutatorian. Valedictorian Abigail Bastedo is the daughter of Sandi and Dan Bastedo. She is the youngest of four children. Her three older brothers (Noah, Duncan and Brennan) are also graduates from Clyde-Savannah. Her brother, Noah, was valedictorian in the class of 2019.

Abigail has been a part of many school clubs during her time in the district, with a specific passion in music and the arts. She has been a part of chorus/band clubs since Kindergarten and been a part of the school drama club for nearly her entire tenure at the school. Most recently she was cast as one of the leads in this year’s winter musical “Once on this Island”. 

Abigail was also on the varsity tennis team her Junior and Senior year. She is the President of the National Honor Society and has been a part of Masterminds since 10th grade. 

She is honored to receive the honor of valedictorian.  

“I’m thankful for the family environment provided at Clyde-Savannah,” Abigail said. “Thanks for always being welcoming and open minded. Thanks for helping me succeed.” 

Abigail plans to attend a welding trade school in Rochester this fall.

Salutatorian Eduardo Chagoya is the son of Patricia Morales and Jeffery Loveland. His brother, Manual Chagoya is a 2019 graduate from Clyde-Savannah. Eduardo has a passion for track and field. He has been a stand-out athlete for several school varsity teams including Cross-Country, Outdoor Track and Indoor Track. He helped lead the Indoor Track team to a school record. Eduardo has also been a member of the National Honor Society for the last 2 years.  

Eduardo is grateful for his time in the district. 

“I’m thankful for the friendships I made at Clyde-Savannah. Good luck to everyone with their future goals.” 

Eduardo will attend SUNY ESF in the fall. He plans to study environmental science and hopes to become an Environmental Resource Engineer.
