Valedictorian
Jessica Montemorano
Valedictorian Jessica Montemorano has a remarkable cumulative grade point average of 99.872% and will graduate high school with thirty college credits. Jessica is a hard-working good citizen who enjoys participating in sports and activities at our school. She has been on our basketball and football cheerleading teams for all four years of high school. She has also been a member of our Track & Field team for four years, and decided to replace Tennis with Cross Country in her junior year because she loves running. Jessica also plays tenor saxophone in our band, is treasurer of our Ski Club, and participates in Varsity Club, Yearbook Club, Eagle News Network, and National Honor Society. In addition to being involved in sports and school activities, Jessica works part-time at Wegmans, at her father’s company, and volunteers for community-based events in town.
Jessica has earned numerous academic awards while at Clyde-Savannah. She has been on Principal’s Honor Roll for all quarters and earned the designation of Special Honors for holding an academic average over 100 several times. At the end of her junior year, Jessica attended the National Student Leadership Conference at Georgetown University where her team won the mock trial competition.
Upon graduation from Clyde-Savannah High School, Jessica will attend Roberts-Wesleyan University to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Global Studies and be a part of their Honors Program. She plans to continue running on their cross country and track teams and attend law school afterwards. Jessica resides with her proud parents Jeff and Angela Montemorano in Clyde.
Salutatorian
Madison Secor
Salutatorian Madison Secor has a remarkable cumulative grade point average of 99.677, as well as an impressive 27 college credits. Her academic achievements include an outstanding four-year presence on Principal’s Honor Roll for every quarter of her high school career, additional special honors for holding an average of 100 percent or greater, student of the quarter for a number of subjects, in addition to scholar athlete recognition. She was inducted into the National Honor Society as a junior and served as Secretary. Madison was also accepted into the rigorous New Visions Medical Careers program, earning over 125 clinical hours interning at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Madison is a very hard working and busy young woman. Throughout her high school career, she has participated in several JV and Varsity athletics. She competed on the volleyball (4 years), basketball (4 years), outdoor track (4 years), indoor track (3 years) and tennis (3 years) team, making her a five-sport athlete in both her junior and senior year. She set a new school record for the indoor track 55-meter hurdles and served as co-captain of the tennis team her junior and senior year. Additionally, Secor has served as a member of Student Council, Varsity Club, the Clyde Savannah Wellness Committee and has been class president since her freshman year.
Madison is also an accomplished musician who has performed in band, chorus, and jazz band. She is a member of the CS Select Chorus, has participated twice in the NYSSMA Area All State Festival and represented Clyde Savannah for many years in the All County Chorus. Secor is a talented actress and vocalist who has performed in several musicals, most recently playing the lead role of Sophie in “Mamma Mia!” her senior year.
Outside of her academic endeavors, Madison is an active member of Freedom Life Church in South Butler, where she volunteers on the church and youth worship team and participates in their youth group. Madison has worked at Doyle Farm Market and for the family business, Secor Lumber.
Upon graduation, Madison is taking a gap year to further develop her love of music at the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in California. Once completed, she plans to further her education by pursuing a degree in nursing. Madison, a lifelong resident of Savannah, is the daughter of David and Lisa Secor and sister to Lauren and Julia.
