Clyde-Savannah Elementary School Students gathered in the gymnasium for the first PBIS assembly of the 2026-2027 school year on Friday, Sept. 25. PBIS is an acronym for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, and each assembly is an opportunity for students and staff to come together on a school-wide level to celebrate the district’s ROCKS values (Respect, Organization, Citizenship, Kindness, Safety) with recognition, games, and skits.
Book of the Year: Every year, Clyde-Savannah Elementary School chooses a book that will define and reinforce these values throughout the year. This year’s book is “I Think, I Am!” by Louise Hay and Kristina Tracy, which encourages students to build their self-esteem through positive affirmations.
“When you say something over and over, you start to believe it is true,” the book says. “What you believe creates what you do and what happens to you.”
ROCKS Championship Belt: This year, students will have the opportunity to win the ROCKS championship title belt for their classroom for a whole month by demonstrating ROCKS values throughout the school day.
Organization: Students participated in activities that encouraged staying organized during the school day. These included a race to organize a desk and a skit about a student who couldn’t find their homework because they weren’t organized.
