📚 UPK VISITS THE LIBRARY! 📚
Our youngest Golden Eagles took a field trip to the Clyde-Savannah Public Library on Wednesday. The UPK classes toured the children's area to see all the materials available for loan, as well as the monthly scavenger hunt for a prize. They also learned they can search for the library mouse and, if they find it, they can also get a prize.
Mrs. Bowlby read each class a few stories including Who Am I and Ten Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. The students left with brand new library cards and a book each to take home and keep. And they left with smiles on their faces, many of them eager to return to use their library cards.
Thanks to Mrs. Bowlby and the Clyde-Savannah Public Library, as well as Mrs. Younglove and Mrs. Pelloni for this fun trip that will inspire a love of reading in our UPK students!

Our Varsity Track & Field team recently volunteered with the Clyde Methodist Church for its March Dinner.
The athletes worked in two shifts with members of the congregation to set up the dining area, take orders, and serve drinks. They shared a meal provided by the church and then helped clean up, wash dishes, and put the room back in order.
We appreciate their hard work and commitment to supporting our community! 🫶

For those students who participated in our annual Yearbook Club fundraiser, coffee cakes and cinnarolls will be delivered to the school and will be available for pick-up on Wednesday, March 18th, in the cafeteria beginning after school at 2:35 pm. Pick-up will take place until 4:30 pm that day. Students should make arrangements to have their orders picked up during this time, as the school is NOT able to store these items. If you have any questions, please contact the advisor, Amanda Lyttle, at amanda.lyttle@clydesavannah.org.

This past weekend, several of our Clyde-Savannah Elementary students participated in the Elementary All-County Festival hosted at North Rose-Wolcott!
We’re so proud of our 14 students who were selected to perform in the 5th Grade All-County Chorus, the 6th Grade All-County Chorus, and the 5th & 6th Grade All-County Band. They represented our District so well, singing and performing alongside talented students from across Wayne County. Great job, Golden Eagles! 💜💛

Our kindergarten classes are participating in Read Across America this week. Every day, they read a new book and dress in a corresponding theme. Then, they participate in hands-on activities connected to the book.
Today they are reading "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Dragon" by Lucille Colandro and wearing green and red. 👵🐉
We're proud to participate in this nationwide reading initiative that helps build our CSE culture of reading. It's a wonderful week of literacy, creativity, and kindergarten fun! 💚❤

Last week, C-S Elementary's best spellers went head-to-head in the annual Spelling Bee. These talented students spelled their way through word after word until there were only two left.
Congratulations to Kylah and LeaAnna for making it to the end! They will go on to the 2026 Wayne-Finger Lakes Regional Spelling Bee on March 21 at Palmyra-Macedon Schools.

🎶 CSE SINGS AT SAVANNAH BICENTENNIAL! 🎶
Wednesday night, as part of the Savannah Chamber of Commerce Bicentennial celebration, the Clyde-Savannah Elementary Chorus sang an original song about the town's history. Written and composed by Superintendent Mr. Mike Hayden and CSE Chorus Director Mrs. Brooke Hance, the song recounts 200 years of Savannah's story.
After the song, everyone enjoyed a potato dinner and the opportunity to learn more about the Chamber and the Clyde-Savannah capital improvement project.

Our Elementary School spent the last few weeks imagining themselves as Olympians during their physical education classes. They practiced ice skating, ski jump, bobsledding, curling, and hockey, often with a glimmer of imagination. Great job, Golden Eagles! 🏂⛷🏒
